Ethical Elephant Sanctuary Phuket – Half Day
Discover Phuket’s first ethical elephant sanctuary, a peaceful haven where rescued elephants finally find the freedom they deserve. Founded in 2016 by Montri Todtane, a local from Phuket’s Paklok neighborhood, Phuket Elephant Sanctuary spans 30 acres of lush tropical jungle beside Khao Phra Thaeo National Park. Wander along Thailand’s longest canopy walkway and watch 12 gentle giants roam, forage, and play in their natural habitat. Every elephant here is lovingly cared for, never rented or used for performances, making this a truly ethical experience. Visitors can enjoy respectful feeding interactions and learn about the importance of elephant welfare and conservation. In 2025, the sanctuary proudly opened Phuket’s first elephant hospital, continuing its mission to protect and care for these magnificent animals for life.
